What we need
  • A high-resolution digital version of an illustration that can be used across multiple channels (web, print, and/or merchandising)
What we have in place
  • We currently have an idea of what we'd like illustrated, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have strong brand guidelines, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,212 , allowing us to continue to purchase materials for students to participate.

Right now we're having a hard time explaining the structure of our book club program and hope that having an illustration that showcases how it's set up (like a trojan horse of our values), helps make the correlation clear for potential school partners and stakeholders.

Prep: Distribution of Prep Materials
  • Volunteer Manager sends Professional existing branding or marketing materials
  • Volunteer Manager provides Professional with relevant background information on the Organization, mission, and core values

Milestone 1: Brainstorm
  • Professional and Volunteer Manager meet to discuss goals, target audience, and how the illustration will be utilized
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional align expectations for the initial drawings and agree upon a timeline

Milestone 2: Preliminary Sketching
  • Professional drafts and presents three concepts for the Organization’s illustration
  • Volunteer Manager chooses a favorite concept and provides up to two rounds of feedback, which the Professional uses to refine the Illustration

Milestone 3: Presentation of Deliverables
  • Professional delivers a final version of the Illustration in digital form

Founded in 2014, the Dinner Table Doc is a 501(c)(3) New York City based, non-profit organization that partners with schools and community organizations to provide college and career readiness workshops and programming for young women of color (especially Black and Brown girls) ages 10-18.
